Who was the guy who decorated the rec room? Know he was bucking a section 8. Anyway, formation one morning, he was standing in the rec room window and yelled, "There are only 2 good troops in A Co. Him and Jumpin' Johnny Hines" Hines was an E-7 at the time. I think Liggett had come down from S2/3 Brigade by then.

Gualberto, sorry but I meant to mention while I was there over the 18 month period we had First Sergeant Hines succeeded  by First Sergeant Hambruch  and 2 Company Commanders over that same period Captain William Connors succeeded by Glade M. Liggett.  Sgts Wade, White and Tim Campbell, were the ranking Platoon Sergeants. Good Luck!!!!

Gualberto, I served in Co A 1/52 Infantry, Headquarters  Platoon from 4/75 - 10/76. I was the Asst Company Clerk to Steve Terry the Company Clerk. I remember an Ortiz (Gualberto sounds familiar) in one of the Company A combat platoons. Was that you or your father? Can you tell me what year this photo was taken?

Its hard to recognize faces with the heavy winter clothing and hoods obscuring looks. However, the black soldier on the right looks a little like Private Garris. Can't remember his first name.
